Accompanying a group travel

Objective

Hone the essential skills and expertise needed to assist and/or lead a group of tourists on group journeys, whether within North America or internationally.

Content

•  Define the role and requirements to be good at escorting a group travel.

•  Understanding the psychology of a group

•  Participate in a 1-day excursion

Simulation of accompanying as a Group leader

During the second weekend, a hands-on practice session is organized, involving travel by motorcoach bus and on foot to a city approximately 2 hours from the College. This experience offers an opportunity to apply the skills you’ve learned. Additionally, a visit to the airport is included to acquaint you with the procedures associated with group departures and arrivals.

Duration

The training spans two weekends, both Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am to 4:30 pm. However, on the second Saturday, there’s an excursion to Ottawa, and you can expect to return to Montreal around 7:30 pm.

Cost

$675 (excluding overnight stay)

$1290 (including overnight stay)

Note: Students and graduates of Collège April-Fortier’s AEC are eligible for a $100 discount.Diploma Issuance

Successful completion of the training leads to a certificate issued by Collège April-Fortier.  

Unlike the AEC in National and International Travel Organization, this specific training is not endorsed by the MES and, as a result, does not grant college credits.
