French LEVEL VII: (100 Hours)

French LEVEL VIII: (100 Hours)

Tailored for those who’ve completed French Advanced I or upon the Department Head’s recommendation, the course accentuates conversational skill enhancement and essential grammar recap. Contemporary Francophone culture, key authors from the 19th and 20th centuries, and significant aspects of French history from 1789 onwards are thoroughly covered. The course also sheds light on the influence of France and Francophone nations in modern global affairs.

French LEVEL IX: (100 Hours)

Continuing the exploration of French literature, this level encapsulates the historical trajectory of French civilization, touching upon its art, music, philosophy, and scientific evolution. The course material spans from the chivalric epics of the medieval era to the 1970’s Nouveau Roman. Activities include readings, lectures, discussions, student presentations, and assignments, all conducted exclusively in French.
